Rather, someone experiencing ghaflah would take Allah’s orders lightly, and only have God or their religion in mind at given times.
Ghaflah is considered a serious spiritual disease. In the Qurʾān, it is noted that those who lived their lives in a state of ghaflah will have regret on the Day of Judgement.
The cure for ghaflah is education, supplication, and all the actions that build its opposite, taqwā (God-consciousness).
