Literally means to ‘Enjoin what is right/good.’ An alternative translation is  ‘Command what is just.’

This phrase is present in multiple Qurʾānic verses, such as 3:104 and 3:110, alongside its opposite which is ‘Forbid what is wrong/evil.’
